As a Professional
I’m a self-taught web designer, soon graduating with an engineering degree. This means I’ve never gone to art school, but I like to think of that as a strength. By learning design from the viewpoint of the web, rather than that of print, I’ve developed a point of view different to many classically trained designers. I try to embrace the nature of web, rather than treat it like sheets of paper.
I’ve been studying the design of websites that adapt to different screen sizes since 2009, using both fluid and static-width grid systems. Since I got into it so early, I’d like to think I’m ahead of the curve in adaptive and responsive web design, as well as in using both fixed-width and fluid grids.
I currently work at Kisko Labs.

As a Person
I’m a pretty classic introvert-geek. I live to learn, being endlessly curious about all things technology and psychology. I’m really good at spotting things to improve in almost anything. It’s no surprise I live on the bleeding edge, always looking forward to new technologies and theories.
Despite always facing towards the future and wanting to walk the paths most untread, I’ve been taught to do things properly or not at all. I take my time.
I’m always very honest and straightforward — both to others and myself — but also encouraging, empathic, and forever calm. Someone once referred to me as “that really nice zen monk”. I kinda like the sound of that.
I currently live in Espoo, Finland.
